Society Cafe is a seasonally driven New American restaurant located within the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village. Led by Executive Chef Nicholas McCann, our kitchen draws on the bounty of the region — its farms, fisheries, dairies, and artisan producers — to build menus that change with the harvest and celebrate the people behind every ingredient.

Our philosophy is simple: source close, cook with intention, and let the ingredients lead. We partner with growers across the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and the surrounding countryside, favoring purveyors who farm responsibly and harvest at peak ripeness. The result is a menu that feels genuinely of this place and this moment — bright, honest, and unmistakably seasonal.

The room itself is a study in restrained elegance. Art deco details — brass fixtures, warm wood, soft lamplight — echo the heritage of the Walker Hotel, while a sense of downtown ease keeps the atmosphere relaxed. By day, it is a neighborhood cafe for breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch; by night, it becomes a destination for considered dinners, craft cocktails, and conversation.

Live music fills the lobby Monday through Saturday evenings, pairing dinner with the sounds of local performers and turning an ordinary night out into something memorable.
